About Nyx

Nyx Goldstone was born on May 31, 1982 in the town of Montebello, California. For a while she lived in Whittier, California until her family moved back to Montebello sometime in late 1988-1989.

In 1997, after spending one short year at Montebello High School, Nyx was accepted into the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). There she majored in Visual Arts, taking classes such in Drawing, Architecture, Ceramics, Photography, and several Computer Art classes. She graduated in June of 2000.

After high school, Nyx’s first job was at Disneyland Resort of Anaheim in an attraction by the name of Innoventions. She spent 2 years there, working as an hostess and preforming in shows (which she credits her voice that seems to project, even when she’s trying to whisper) and generally entertaining guests as well as fellow Cast Members with her wit and sarcasm.

From 2002 on, she took on a string of retail and desk jobs that left her frustrated more than satisfied. It wasn’t until mid-2005 where she discovered the art of Chainmaille after being a low-active member of the Society of Creative Anachronism (SCA for short). In December of that year, she decided she wanted to work for herself. Chainmaille was creative and unique enough to give her that outlet.

Nyx currently lives in Southern California, near Anaheim, with her cat, computer, and art equipment. In her free time, Nyx can be found on Archery and gun ranges, or (when funds allow) traveling to Denver and Dallas. Nyx hopes to eventually see every single state in the country, but is content right now with Colorado and Texas as a way to get away.
