Otherwise known as “I used to read faster than this!!!”

Book 32 was Warriors: Tigerstar & Sasha – Return to the Clans. A brief, unsatisfying manga of the Warriors series that I’ve been reading. But, I finished it! I’m all caught up!!! …except, of course, for the next 6-book series in the set. Haven’t even started those yet…

Book 33 was Living with the Dead, by (you guessed it!) Kelley Armstrong! This marks me being current with her Otherworld books! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! I don’t have another one to read until later this year/early next year, though….saaaaad… Guess I’ll just have to work on those fanfictions until then, huh?  Either way, Living with the Dead was a pretty good one. She went a whole new direction with it, though, making it third person narrative rather than first. It was kinda awkward to read, though, especially since her voice still screams first person, and I kept seeing it as such. Who knows what the next one will bring, eh?

Book 30 was the 3rd volume of Return to Labyrinth. Still good. Still love it; and I still can’t wait to get the fourth and final installation to see how it ends.

Book 31 is going to take most my readers waaaaaaaaaaaaay back. I own a few random books from the Animorphs series. What I finally got my hands on, though, is the complete collection. I just finished reading the first book, The Invasion. It was a quick and easy read…if I had the chance to just sit down and read it. It’s only 140 pages on my Sony Ereader. I just haven’t had the energy to read for some reason. Once I hit 30, I seem to have lost most of my drive to finish this challenge. But, I will do it!

Apparently I must torture myself with Maguire’s writing. I was not pleased with Son of a Witch. Then again, I wasn’t all that pleased with Wicked: the Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Sadly, the emo was just dripping from every page. Liir only created a self-fulfilling prophecy of a disjointed life and being unremarkable in the eyes of others. What he did in the story was pretty damn remarkable. He was brillint, actually. The story, though, lacked the confirmation that most readers look for. There was no comeuppance for the bad guy, there was no self-worth realization. It took 312 pages to get to the answers that I was looking for, and even then it only answered one or two questions.

So, now I have to wonder… Do I read Lion Among Men and hope that more questions are answered? Or am I to expect a whole new set of mysteries from it?
