I added a store to the site. Right now all I have is some chainmaille pieces up, more will be coming as I get images to put up there.
I always feel strange putting up a shop. I never know if it’ll fly, if it’s worth the effort, if the sales will come through, and if the people buying really do like them. The e-commerce software always has questions that make me go “Uhh… I dunno!” and wonder later if my not knowing will really mess something up. Not to mention, should I be using this site to sell my work anyway? Should I be creating another site for it, and leave this one just to the personal stuffs? What’ll happen later, should I get published? Will I not be allowed to have this stuff up? Am I stretching myself too thin?
So many questions… Does anyone have answers?
Of course this review is going to be biased. I love Kelley Armstrong!! Love, love, love, love! She’s my hero. The Summoning is Armstrong’s first attempt at Young Adult novels.
I say she did really, really well with it. In the beginning, she did something that made me actually have to stop reading, though. Chloe, the main character, was sent to a home for mentally unstable kids (trust me, this isn’t a ruined plot point) because the school insisted on ONE incident. ONE! I couldn’t read for a while after that because it took it completely out of the realm of believability to me. Luckily, at the end, all that is explained. Not quite as upset about that non-believable part.
